Activities - On Site


LOW ROPES COURSE
Is a series of physical activities done on a specially designed course. It is designed to encourage coordination, concentration, agility, mutual support and self-confidence.

ARCHERY
The camp provides two targets, two bows and sixteen arrows. This is a fun skill building activity.

BASKETBALL & VOLLEY BALL
These outdoor courts are used at length during free time or for competitive inter group games.

HUT BUILDING
Can you create a bush hut? Decide what kind of hut would suit the environment and the equipment that you have and see what you can create in the time you have.  Materials are specially supplied for this bush hut building activity.

INITIATIVE ACTIVITIES
Fun simple outside physical activities that require teamwork. The activities require cooperation, coordination, and problem solving. Mutual support within the group can be increased and plenty of fun can be had whilst working as a member of a team.

ORIENTEERING
Two different courses are provided on the campsite
• Bearing and clue (map reading only)
• Score orienteering (using a compass)

TABLE TENNIS
There are 2 table tennis tables that can be a great form of recreation or used to have more serious competitions.

GIANT CHESS
Fun for all ages this rather large outdoor chess set can keep you occupied for hours.

DAMPER MAKING
Best done in small groups of 6-10. Damper cooking is done on an outside Camp fire at any time of day (providing it is not total fire ban).

CONCERT
What a way to end a camp! Legends often come from camp concerts. There is a stage in the hall.

DISCO
There is a CD player, coloured lights and various dance music available in the hall for this purpose.

ARTS AND CRAFTS
A variety of crafts can be done using materials collected from the camp environment or drawing ideas from the surrounding environment.

BUSH WALKS AND HIKES
There are some that can be started from the camp and into the nearby Great Otway National Park, and others that are a little further away.

ECO LOGIC
Provides educational and environmental activities including:
• Rock Pool Rambles
• Evening Beach Combing
• Fossil Hunting
• Marine Snorkeling
• Forest Hikes
• Junior Ranger

GO RIDE A WAVE/SOUTHERN EXPOSURE/WEST COAST ADVENTURE
Can provide a number of outdoor water activities including:
• Canoeing
• Life Guarding
• Body Boarding
• Surfing

BLAZING SADDLES
Blazing Saddles is very close to Angahook camp and can provide hours of horse filled fun and education.

MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDING/CANOEING
An outside group called G.O.R.A.T.S specialises in Mountain Bike riding and canoeing in the local area.
